13yr Old Pregnant Girl In Akwa Ibom Gives Birth To A Baby Boy

Ekemini, the 13 year old girl pregnant girl who was rescued by Danish aid worker, Anja Ringgren Loven and her husband David Emmannuel Umem, has given birth to her baby, a boy, through Caesarean operation.

Anja announced this on her facebook wall.

She wrote: “This morning at 10 Ekemini gave birth ( caesarean operation ) to a healty young little boy  . Ekemini is the girl, only 13 years old who David and our team rescued a few weeks ago and brought to safety to our orphanage  So please say Hello to the new member of our big family at DINNødhjælp/ACAEDF Childrens Home  He is just so sweet and adorable and I cannot wait to hold him in my arms  The operation went fine but Ekemini is a little sick and very tired. But she is with David and our team at the hospital now and they will all take good care of her and our little sweetheart Love from Anja and David

The result of bad parenting! A young boy of 13 years was saved from been lynched by angry traders at the popular Idumota market in Lagos.

If not for the timely intervention of LASTMA, angry traders would have beaten up the boy who is the leader of a gang of minors terrorizing them in the market.

The 13-year-old boy was arrested by traders for alleged stealing and robbery within the markets was seen been beaten up with different objects by angry traders.

The boy, however, said he was forced into stealing as his parents abandoned him…

“I was born in this market. My father and mother are also selling in the market, but they don’t cater for me.

I roam about to eat and fend for myself. About 40 children sleep with me in shops at night.

We wake early to leave the shops before people start coming for business.”

The teenage boy (names withheld) said, “Sometimes last year, while I was playing football with other children, some guys from Jankara area called me and gave me a gun.

They said I should help them keep the gun. They also called one of my friends called Daniel and also gave him guns to keep. We hid the guns in our clothes.

“There was a day that they took us to Agege to rob. Daniel and I kept the guns they used for the robbery operation that day.

They have taken us to other places to rob too. They don’t give us anything.”

I just hope government can rehabilitate this boy and give him a life.
