SAD!! Another Nigerian Shot Dead In South Africa

Monday Okorie, a Nigerian who resides in South Africa has been killed by unknown assailants.

Ikechukwu Anyene, president of The Nigeria Union in South Africa, disclosed this on Thursday, saying the tragic incident occurred on Tuesday.

Anyene said the victim was an indigene of Agwu in Enugu state.

He said on receipt of the report, some national officers of the union travelled to the north-west province to investigate the incident.

Anyene said initial investigation showed that some unknown assailants shot and killed Okorie.

He said the incident had been reported to the South African Police Department and other government agencies.

According to Anyene, 20 Nigerians resident in the city were initially arrested by the police for protesting the murder and allegedly causing public violence.

He said some of the Nigerians had been released after investigations while the nine charged to court were granted free bail.

Anyene added that the incident had been reported to the Nigerian Mission in South Africa and had been assured that there would be follow-up investigations.

He said: “Nigeria Union is satisfied with investigations done so far by the South African police. Our people and government are not happy with the way cases involving Nigerians in South Africa are being handled, vis-a-vis the high success rate of prosecution of crime in South Africa.

“We told Nigerians resident in the province to remain law abiding and allow the police to carry out a thorough investigation of the incident.”

The fresh case of death brings to 18, the total number of Nigerians killed in 2016 alone. Three of such deaths were recorded in July.

Terrible!! Man Butchered Into Different Body Parts By Friend On Visiting Him (Graphic Photo)

A man met the ghastliest of scenes yesterday, September 15th, when he went to visit a friend who lived in a sugar cane plantation in Udon, Thailand.

Teerayut Promkhao, 40, called out to his friend thinking he was still asleep in the early morning hours. But he was not in his bed under the mosquito net, reported Daily News.

So he went to the kitchen area and found a trail of blood leading outside. His friend’s head and torso was stuffed in a fertilizer sack.

Next to that were his friend’s arms severed at the shoulder and legs cut off at the knee.

These four limbs were stuffed in a blue bucket. Two large kitchen knives were laying about.

He rode off in a panic and called the cops. The grisly murder happened about one kilometer from the village of Non Sawan.

The dead man was identified as 50-year-old Panya Thongsri, who was looking after the plantation for his wife who was working in Korea.

Police found a red bicycle at the scene that they think belongs to the murderer. He is believed to have rode off on the victim’s Honda Click motorbike. Rice was still steaming on the stove.

Huay Luang police think that the murderer cut up the body and intended to conceal it but was disturbed by someone nearby tending their fields. So he fled on the victim’s motorcycle.

He had attacked the victim from behind so violently that his brains were splattered over the ground.

Various witnesses told stories of disputes between the victim and his wife and other members of his wife’s family over the ownership of the land.

The disputes centered around alleged favoritism shown to the victim and his wife over other members of the wife’s extended family.

The victim’s younger brother said that Panya had told him of a previous attack by relatives that he had not reported to police.

Police are studying DNA evidence and CCTV footage in the area to determine the identity of the murderer. They are convinced that it is a close relative they are after.

Heartbreaking! 66-Year-Old Company Driver Committed Suicide After Being Owed 5-Months Salary

A driver who has been working tirelessly for a company and owed salary for several months has done a most shocking thing leaving his family in pain.

A 66-year-old man has done a terrible thing after being owed 5-months salary. Mr. John Ekue, has committed suicide in the Mende area of Maryland, Lagos State.
He used a rope to hang himself by the rod of a ceiling fan in his apartment on Oki Lane around 8pm on Monday.

According to Punch, Ekue was a driver for a paint company in Lagos State and decided to kill himself after many months of being owed salary. The report revealed that he has been facing tough times since April 2016, when he stopped going to the company, whose name was not disclosed by his family members.

The family revealed he earned N30,000 per month from the company but was frustrated because of his inability to feed his family leaving his son, IK with the responsibility.

Speaking about the event, Simon Davies a resident around the area gave more details about the incident.

He said, “His son had gone to buy food for him that evening. But when he returned, he saw his father’s body dangling from a rope and he raised the alarm. People went into the room to help rush him to a hospital, but he died.
“The main cause of the incident is the non-payment of his salaries by a paint company he worked for as a driver. I learnt he earned N30,000 monthly and the company owed him five months’ salaries. He stopped going there in April when the arrears were not paid. Since then, his son had been feeding him with the little he earns at a boutique where he works.”

A resident, Gafar Kolawole, said the police from the Anthony division came to remove the corpse and had deposited it in a mortuary.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the suicide, adding that Ekue’s corpse had been deposited in a morgue for autopsy.
She said, “One John Ekue allegedly hanged himself with a rope tied to the ceiling fan in his room. Detectives visited, examined and photographed the scene. The corpse was removed and deposited in a morgue for autopsy.”

Man who Poison Neighbour’s Pot Of Soup With ‘Sniper’ Arrested

The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a man accused of attempting to kill his neighbour’s family over electric bill disagreement.

Gordon Daniel, a resident of Ajegunle, was accused by his neighbour, Saidat Shakiru, of pouring ‘sniper,’ – an insecticide – in a pot of soup she was cooking on Tuesday.

The complainant said that she had left the soup on fire, to attend to another issue, only to return and discover that the soup reeked of sniper.

The accusing finger was pointed at Daniel as he was the only resident of the compound at home when she was cooking.

The Nation gathered that Shakiru alerted the landlady who resides on the topmost floor of the storey building as well as her husband who was at work before the matter was reported to the Baale of Aiyetoro street, Saheed Fakunle.

A resident, who spoke about the matter, on the condition of anonymity, said:

“Sadiat and the suspect were at home when she was cooking the soup. The woman allegedly went outside to buy something and before she came back Daniel had doused sniper into the soup she was cooking.
“When the woman opened the soup pot she perceived an offensive odour from the soup and she sensed foul play. The angry woman drew the attention of the landlady to what she had observed.
“Her landlady asked whom she suspected. Since there was nobody at home, she accused Daniel of the deed. When her husband, Shakiru returned from work, she explained her predicament about the soup she was cooking and the matter was moved to the Baale.
“After carrying out investigation, the Baale handed over the suspect to the police alongside the pot of soup.”

Upon interrogation, Daniel, who admitted to carrying out the heinous act, blamed his actions on the devil. He said:
“The woman has been insulting me over electricity bill. I don’t know what got over me so I decided to put sniper inside their soup to punish her. I am sorry. I regret what I have done. She insulted me so much because of the electricity bill if not I don’t have any problem with her and her husband,”
A source at Ajegunle police station, said Daniel will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti.

Young School Girl R*Ped By Guard On School Premises

The police have arrested a security guard of a public school in Lagos, Adeniyi Primary School, Itire, for allegedly r*ping an eight-year-old pupil. The 40-year-old suspect Friday Oshoba, aka Mopol, was said to have committed the alleged crime while the primary 2 pupil, Mercy (pseudonym), was waiting for her sister to pick her up after the school closed around 2pm.

Friday was said to have persuaded the little girl to follow him to a deserted spot within the school and removed her underwear. He reportedly had his way with her afterwards.

It was a class five pupil, identified only as Bukola, sent on an errand by a schoolteacher, that caught the crazy guard in the act and reported to the teacher.

Mercy, on getting home, recounted the incident to her parents. An uncle of the girl followed her to the school the following day and reported the matter to the head teacher.

The head teacher was said to have invited policemen from Itire division, leading to Friday’s arrest.

Mercy, in her statements to the police, said, “I was in the school on May 11 at about 2pm when Mopol (Friday) called me to a place on the school premises. He removed my underwear and put his thing (m*****d) inside my bum-bum. Bukola, who is in primary five, saw us and reported to her teacher. I also told my daddy when I got home.”

But the security guard, an indigene of Ekpoma, Edo State, denied r*ping the little girl, saying he did not know her name. He was, however, silent in his statement on whether he took Mercy to any spot.

He said, “The girl is one of our pupils in Adeniyi Primary School. I did not know her name, but I know she is in Primary two. I did not do anything with her. I was married, but my wife left me and I don’t have any child.”

However, a social worker at the Mirabel Centre, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, where medical examinations were carried out on the victim, said Mercy had bruises in her private parts.

The worker, who spoke with Punch on condition of anonymity, said, “The result of the test conducted on the girl shows that she had bruises and fresh lacerations on her hymen. These suggest that the suspect forcefully penetrated her private parts as she claimed.”

Friday was brought before an Apapa Magistrate’s Court by a police prosecutor, Francisca Job, on one count of r*pe.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge. The presiding magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Adegbite, admitted him to bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The case was adjourned till July 27, 2016, for trial.

Man sufforcates wife to death in her sleep

The younger sister of late Mrs. Roseline Sougie, who was allegedly killed by her husband of 26 years, says the suspect nearly beat her to death sometime in 2015.

The sister, Mrs. Philomena Shaibu, told Punch Metro that the husband, Jafaru Sougie, in anger used a pillow to stifle the mother of five while she was sleeping.

She added that Roseline’s death on Friday in their rented apartment on Araromi Street, Oshodi, Lagos, was the end of a long period of domestic abuse.

This is just as the last child of the family, Happiness, marked her 9th year birthday at Shaibu’s house in Ikorodu on Sunday.

Punch correspondent had reported that unemployed 49-year-old Jafaru allegedly used a knife to slit the wife’s throat around 2am on Friday, after which he took a poison.

He was vomiting in the bathroom when one of their children, Richmond, and his aunt, who had slept in the living room, went into the inner room to wake up Roseline only to discover that she was dead.

Forty-six-year-old Roseline, a frozen foods seller in Ijora, was the breadwinner of the family and had reportedly wanted to quit the marriage, but was advised to rescind her decision for the sake of the children.

However, Shaibu on Sunday, said her sister fled to their village in Edo State in 2015 after the husband stifled her during another argument.

She said, “Last year, my sister was sleeping when her husband used a pillow to cover her mouth and she nearly died. She managed to escape and fled to our village. The case was reported to the police in Oshodi. He went to the village to beg her and after three months they reconciled.

“It was the children that kept her in the relationship. It was unfortunate that she died because of the children. All I want is that he should not go unpunished. My sister suffered a lot to keep the marriage going. We want justice for her.”

The President, Women Arise for Change Initiative, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, said her group had contacted the police on the matter and would monitor it to ensure justice in the end.

She said, “There is a curious rise in the spate of domestic violence; husband killing wife and vice-versa. People must be careful about the kind of relationship they get into. We have taken this up. Roseline’s death is a colossal loss. We stand with the family at this time of grief. We wait for the autopsy report of Roseline. Jafaru must be alive to face justice.”

But the second child of the family, 16-year-old Richmond, a Senior Secondary School 2 pupil, said he had forgiven his father.

“We just have to move ahead with our lives. Mum meant a lot to us; she was our hope, but at the same time, I have forgiven dad,” he said.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that Jafaru, who is in the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, had yet to speak to investigators on the incident as he was still recuperating from the poison he took.

The Lagos State deputy spokesperson of the police, DSP Damasus Ozoani, said, “The matter is still under investigation. The suspect has not given the police his own version of the incident and the circumstance in which the act was committed has yet to be determined.”

Nigerian woman kills man she met on Badoo.

This woman (Left) brought two men (one of them pictured right) to the home of her lover to kill him. They tied his legs, hands, taped his mouth and snuffed life out of him. Full story from Tribune below.. The life of a young man, Charles Bankole Orisanya from Akoko in Ondo State, who was working with Halliburton in Rivers State ended sadly and brutally on September 19, 2014 when his 26-year-old girlfriend, Loretta Odikagbo, snuffed life out of him. She was however apprehended almost three months after, precisely December 9, 2014 after a painstaking investigation by the Homicide Section of the Rivers State Police Command. Senior police officers who investigated the case said that the method of killing was an uncommon one in Nigeria, as Miss Odikagbo, popularly called Loretta, and two accomplices allegedly tapered late Orisanya’s mouth, hands and legs before covering his head with a polythene bag. Loretta was said to have sat on the deceased’s head while one of the accomplices, Ime Francis Moses Jnr., held his neck until he became lifeless. According to information gathered by Crime Reports, Loretta Odikagbo, a student of Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori, met Orisanya on Badoo network and they started dating online.
They connected physically and the relationship blossomed over the next months. Along the line, Loretta fell out of love with her lover. And the reason she gave was that her lover boy was not fulfilling his promises. The deceased, who was in his early 30s, was a civil engineer and a staff of Halliburton Company at Trans-Amadi area of Port Harcourt, it was learnt. On September 19, 2014, the lover invited the lady to his house but she did not come alone. Crime Reports learnt that she hired two men to go with her and hid them under the staircase of the lover’s residence. In order not to arouse any suspicion, Loretta released herself totally to her lover and engaged in a passionate love making session with him. After the man climaxed, he rolled off and got ready for sleep. The lady was said to have quietly opened the door to let the two accomplices in.
Pointing a gun-like object at Bankole, Loretta and the boys used a rope and masking tape to tie his hands and legs. Satisfied that she had dealt with her lover, Loretta left for an Automated Teller Machine to collect all the cash in Bankole’s account. Of course, she had earlier collected the secret pin from him under duress. Not done, the lady was said to have returned and had gone to her lover’s kitchen to pick a polythene bag to cover his head after taping his mouth, and sat on his head. One of the accomplices, Moses, held the man’s neck until he gave up the ghost. The two men also took their victim’s shirts, shoes and other personal items while Loretta went for his LG phone and laptop. When the case was reported at a police station, it was learnt that there was no single clue that could be used to trail the killers. But when the case was transferred to Department of Criminal Investigation, Rivers State Police Command, the crack detectives investigating the case were able to resolve the mystery as they worked on an item picked from the scene crime.
This eventually led to Loretta’s arrest and, subsequently, Moses’, while the third suspect is still at large. In an interview with Loretta, she claimed that she decided to deal with late Orisanya because he was not fulfilling all his promises to her. Her narration went thus: “I am from Rumuomasi, Obio/Akpor Local Government area of Rivers State. I was born on May 2, 1988. I hold a Diploma in Mass Communication and was to resume for my HND in January 2015 but I was arrested in December 2014. “I asked a friend, Moses to help harass a man who was my boyfriend but is now deceased. I met Bankole (Orisanya) through a social network called Badoo in January 2014 and we got intimate online since he was at the rig offshore when we met. He was there for two months and we became internet lovers. We were chatting and exchanging pictures. When he came back, he invited me over and we started dating. “The basis of it all was money.
When I met him, it was all promises upon promises. Along the line, the sex was going on and the money was not coming. He would give me N10,000, N15,000 but that was not what I expected from him. Also when we first met, to me, he was a single man but along the line, I discovered he was married. “We talked about it but he didn’t want the affair to end. He said that it would not be a problem and he could handle it. But I only continued with him because I was waiting for the promises to be fulfilled. I was not interested in marriage to him. We had a bit of misunderstanding concerning money and our relationship. I asked my friend who is also my in-law to help me so that I could get the money forcefully from Bankole. “Along the line, I could not control my anger so I asked my in-law to come help harass him to get what I could get from him and move on with my life. “On a particular night, he called me and I went to his place with my in-law and one other guy. I felt it was an opportunity to deal with him. We went to his residence and I managed to sneak the two men into the compound. I hid them under the stairs. I went in to Bankole and we made love. After we were done, I left him in the bedroom and went to the kitchen as if I wanted to drink water, and let the guys in. I made it look like both of us were being robbed.
We met Bankole in the sitting room; probably trying to know what kept me away for long. “There was no light. I didn’t see any gun. My in-law was holding a tape while the other guy held a torch and something that looked like a gun. Bankole and I went on our knees and the guys were threatening us, asking for money. My lover told them that he had money in his account so he gave them his ATM card pin number. “My-in law tied his hands with the tape and second guy acted like I had to be the one to follow him to the ATM. It was raining heavily that night. It was almost midnight. We left for the ATM and I withdrew a little over N120,000 and paid the guy off. I gave him about N30,000 or thereabouts. My in-law came to meet me at the ATM and I also gave him almost N50,000. “I took Bankole’s LG phone while his laptop was brought to me the following day by my in-law. I can’t remember what the other guy took from Bankole’s house. I didn’t know anything about the polythene that was used to cover his head.” Loretta said she did not bother to go back to Orisanya’s house so did not know that he died. “I didn’t have the intention of dating him anymore; I just wanted to move on. I only knew about Bankole’s death when I was arrested.” Moses (30), who said he hails from Akwa Ibom State, however gave a contrary narration to Loretta’s. According to him, “Loretta called me and said that she and her boyfriend were having some issues. She said he was owing her some money and had refused to ‘settle’ her. She said she would call me to go and harass him promising to notify me whenever he called her. Before then she gave me some money to buy a torchlight, which I did. “On a day, she called me and came to meet me.
We went to Rumuomasi to pick another guy called Winkoro. He refused being part of the plan and we left him. As we walked, we saw a boy whom I knew but don’t know his name. I introduced him to her and she explained her intention to him and he joined us. “She took us to the man’s house and kept us under the staircase. Earlier, she gave the other guy a rope and masking tape and I was with a torch light and an iron object that looked like a gun. After a while, she called us in and we got into the kitchen. Minutes later, according to her instruction, we got into the room where she was with her boyfriend. “I pointed the torch at the man and said: “Na you dey owe our sister and you no wan pay”. The lover boy pleaded that he was going to pay; that we should calm down. The guy with us tied the man’s legs with a rope and tapered his hands. Loretta stood up and slapped the man repeatedly. After that she asked the man of money but he said he had no money at home.
He pointed at his ATM cards and gave Loretta the pin number. “She and the other guy left for the ATM and I stayed with our victim. I later called her to confirm if the pin was right and she said yes. I asked if I should start coming but she asked me to wait at the man’s house. Before she left, she and the other guy packed some items like laptop, phone.
When she came back, she went to the man’s room. “She came out, went to the kitchen, brought a polythene bag and said that if I did not assist her in killing the man, if the bubble burst, I would be the first person she would mention. She covered the man’s head with the polythene bag and sat on his head while I assisted her in holding the man’s neck until he became motionless. “Loretta gave me N28,000. I was arrested on December 10, 2014. She was the one who led the police to me. I took three shirts and a sandal from the man’s house.
Taking the man’s life was not in the initial plan.” On the relationship between them, Moses said that he and Loretta used to drink alcohol together while she was also a chain smoker. Loretta confirmed this and added that she used to smoke marijuana. Moses also revealed that a case akin to the current one occurred three years ago. “Loretta had a man she was going out with. They had some problems and because Loretta had the man’s spare key, she gave it to me and asked me to go and pack the man’s things and her own too, so that it would look like robbery.
The man got her arrested and I was also picked. We returned the things to the man,” Moses disclosed. Again, Loretta confirmed this and said that the man was a staff of Shell. When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Rivers State, DSP Ahmad Muhammad, confirmed the story, saying that the case was still under investigation at the Department of Criminal Investigation.
